Q: Why would I want to change to refillable cartridges?

Quite simply, to save money. If you print an 11 x 8.5 photo, you are using as much ink as 40 pages of text! - Using refill cartridges allows you to use a good quality photographic ink in bottles, which works out at around one fifth of the ink cost!

Q: How do i refill and reset a refillable cartridge?

1: Remove the filler plug and fill the cartridge with the correct colour ink with at least 250ml of ink using the funnel provided.
2: Re-insert the filler plug firmly.
3: Use the syringe & adapter, gently insert into the ink outlet port of the cartridge.
4: Pull back on the syringe to withdraw 1-2ml of ink to prime the cartridge. (This process is only required after the first fill)
5: Insert the cartridge into the printer. Then steps 1-5 for each cartridge.
6: During printing, when the ink level reaches the low ink mark on a cartridge, take out the cartridge fill with ink using the funnel and reset chip using the chip re-setter supplied. Re-insert cartridge.

Q: How do many times can a refillable cartridge be re-filled?

9 times out of 10, for as long a the printer can still print! These cartridges are very robust and there is only the cartridge chip and the cartridge seal that can become faulty. All our refillable cartridges come with a 1 year warranty.

The Epson 9800 Refillable Cartridge System signals the end of expensive disposable cartridges! Epson 9800 refillable cartridges work in the same way as OEM cartridges. The only difference is when you run out of ink you do not have to replace with another expensive cartridge, simply refill the refillable cartridge with Lyson ink.

Use alongside existing OEM cartridges

The Epson 9800 refillable cartridges with Lyson ink can be used alongside OEM cartridges. This is due to the Lyson Inkset being an almost identical match to the brand inkset. This allows you to change to refillable cartridges one colour at a time.
